About LindaI studied art only during middle school, but I did win a gold key for a watercolor painting then in a citywide competition. I believe the talent for art runs in my family. I have several very talented siblings. It wasn't until after my daughter was born that I began taking painting classes, first in acrylics and then in watercolor and oil. I was captivated!
I was fortunate to find a wonderful mentor in Norma Dennison of Jackson, Tennessee, whose enthusiasm, knowledge, and encouragement fanned the flames of my love of painting. Watercolor and oil became my favorite mediums. I love painting portraits of people and pets as well as landscapes, seascapes, or whatever beauty I see that excites and inspires me. I am so thankful for my husband and other family and friends who have encouraged me. I hope others will get as much pleasure from my art as I have in painting it. My paintings prints and cards can be seen and purchased at Art in the Village Gallery at the Casey Jones Village in Jackson, TN. - artistsinthevillage.org. |
